A collection of stories from women who have built businesses, navigated change and found their way through the ups and downs along the way.

It all started in 2025 when I was named an AusMumpreneur Award winner, after thousands of women from across Australia entered the awards.

Then came a pretty unexpected opportunity.

Out of all the winners across all the categories, I was selected to be one of the women featured in the latest AusMumpreneur book, Trust & Transformation.

Alongside a group of incredible women, who are all mums and business owners in their own right, I was invited to share a chapter about my own journey.

And now, somehow, I can officially add published author to the list.

If you know me, you'll know writing a book was never exactly on my bucket list. I'm much more comfortable behind my camera, photographing families, newborns, mums and women in business. But when an opportunity like this comes along, sometimes you just have to say yes and see where it takes you.

My chapter: In the Middle of It All

My chapter is a very personal look at one of the hardest and most unexpected seasons of my life.

I became a first-time mum during lockdown, which was already a pretty strange way to enter motherhood. Then my baby developed allergies, and those early months became a lot more challenging than I ever could have imagined.

At the same time, I still had a business to run.

I had to figure out how to be a mum, care for a baby who needed extra attention and somehow keep my business going too. Like so many business owners, I couldn't just put everything on hold, so I had to adapt, evolve and find a new way of doing things.

My business changed. I changed. And looking back now, I can see just how much that period shaped the way I work and the person I've become.

In the Middle of It All is about that season of life and everything that came with it. The uncertainty, the challenges, the changes and the process of figuring things out as I went.

About the book

Trust & Transformation brings together the stories of women from different backgrounds and businesses, each sharing their own experiences of growth, change and the moments that have shaped them.

My story is just one chapter in the book, with each contributor bringing something completely different to the collection.

It's a book about business, life, challenges, lessons and the sometimes unexpected paths we find ourselves on.

I'm incredibly proud to be a small part of it, and honestly, still a little bit amazed that I can say I'm a published author.
