Christmas is my favourite time of year. And, as a family photographer, December also means my camera roll becomes completely ridiculous. 😂

If you’re a mum, you probably know the feeling. The Christmas decorations come out, the kids get excited, the calendar fills up and suddenly you’re trying to remember who needs a Christmas concert costume, where you hid the presents and whether you’ve bought enough batteries.

Christmas with kids can feel wonderfully magical and completely chaotic at the same time.

There are the Christmas songs, the decorations, the family catch-ups and those little faces lighting up when they see something they’ve been waiting weeks for.

But there’s also the realisation that it all changes so quickly.

The studio sessions also include same-day photo viewing.

After your session, I’ll edit your photographs while you have a little break. Then we’ll sit down together and look through your images so you can choose your favourites.

Outdoor Christmas Mini Sessions in Melbourne’s East

These sessions are relaxed, natural and designed for families who would rather be outside than sitting still in a studio.

We’ll capture your family as you are:

The funny, messy, in-between moments that often become your favourite photos.

These are 15-minute outdoor family photography sessions designed to be quick, fun and easy, especially if your children are not known for sitting still. 😂

You’ll receive 3 professionally edited digital images, with a digital proof sheet emailed to you within 48 hours so you can choose your favourites.

Why I Love Christmas Family Photography

Christmas photographs become more valuable as the years go by.

When you’re in the middle of December, you’re probably thinking about presents, school concerts, Christmas parties, shopping, wrapping gifts and trying to remember where you hid everything.

You’re probably not thinking about how much you’ll miss the sound of your kids running down the hallway on Christmas morning.

Or how excited they were when they saw the Christmas tree.

Or the way they looked at you when they realised Santa had actually been there.

But years from now, you will.

That’s what photographs do. They don’t just show you what someone looked like. They take you back to a particular moment, feeling and stage of family life.

My own camera roll is already full of Christmas photographs of my girls.
